"Yoga empowered me to embrace my own greatness, love who I am, and trust the process. When I first started, I knew little about yoga beyond its reputation for stress management and physical well-being. Yet, after a few sessions, I noticed a profound shift—no matter what was happening in my life, I always felt better after practice. Unlike my past experiences with intense gym training, where I pushed myself to exhaustion, yoga taught me to listen to my body. It broke the cycle of overexertion and allowed me to find balance.
In 2006, after a serious car accident that resulted in spinal fractures, I endured years of rehabilitation and chronic pain. Yoga became the one therapy that truly improved my quality of life. The practice helped me rebuild strength, stability, and mental clarity. Over time, yoga brought joy back into my life, helping me release past trauma and find balance in my mind and body. Today, I am passionate about teaching yoga, creating classes that are dynamic, fun, and continually evolving. My certifications include Level Two Teacher Training from Creature Yoga, Bryan Kest Power Yoga and Meditation, Level One Yoga from My Health Yoga, and Level One Hot Yoga from Fire Shaper."

My journey as a yoga teacher began as a student of Iyengar yoga, where I first encountered the spiritual and physical aspects of alignment. This practice unlocked a door within me, revealing that I was my own key. I then pursued martial arts, earning a 3rd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo and receiving awards for Martial Artist and Instructor of the Year.
Martial arts is more than just sport—it's a philosophy and a way of being, much like yoga. When I returned to yoga, I did so with the courage of a warrior, ready to deepen my practice and become a teacher. Drawing on my experience in martial arts, Tai Chi, and Pilates, I now design yoga classes that blend warrior strength, breath awareness, and flowing movement, helping students reconnect with their bodies and feel the vibrant life within.

At a time when I felt lost, yoga guided me back to myself, revealing the wisdom of my heart and inner courage. I am deeply grateful to my teacher, Carrie-Anne Fields, for showing me the beauty of navigating life with an open heart. Teaching for ten years, I see myself not just as a teacher but as someone fortunate to share my practice and insights with a room full of friends.
My classes emphasise breath, slow flow, and the restorative power of yin. My approach is gentle, non-judgmental, and rooted in self-compassion and mindfulness. I hope to support you in discovering your own inner peace and radiance.

Carolyn's love for yoga began in her 20s after she transitioned from a ballet career to motherhood. Drawn to the graceful lines, symmetry, and flow of yoga, she found it to be a way to shift from her mind into her breath and body. Her passion for exercise and wellness fuels her dedication to sharing this love with others in the yoga studio.
Carolyn believes, "Yoga allows us to be completely immersed in what we are doing on our mat and to take these lessons off the mat into our real lives." Trained with Power Living Yoga and Barre Attack, her classes are strong and athletic, yet always infused with a softness that honors the breath. She focuses on alignment and breath, guiding students to create shapes with their bodies as containers for their breath.

Yoga started as a form of exercise for me, but I quickly discovered how it creates space not only in the body but also in the mind, all through the focus on breath.
This sparked my curiosity to delve deeper. My first teacher training in Rishikesh, India, was life-changing and set me on the path I follow today. Yoga continually reminds me to strive to be a better person—towards myself, others, and the world. Since then, I’ve trained with inspiring teachers in Sydney and Byron Bay and remain a curious, lifelong student.
In my classes, you can expect an energetic flow with a strong emphasis on breath, body alignment, and a touch of spirituality.

I have been practicing yoga now for 12 years but I did not start to practice yoga till I was 55 after retiring from a very stressful position as a Director of Nursing.
I started to recognise that with yoga, not only my health & physical appearance improved greatly but my level of happiness as well.
Hoping to share these benefits I became a yoga teacher.
It is never too late to start. As they say “Yoga is not about touching your toes it is about what you learn on the way down”
